It was highly competitive throughout, it's just Warrington outworked him & out muscled him at times.. He has a nightmare style! Relentless work rate, great engine, durability, athletic, strong mentally, solid ring IQ.. Great pressure fighter. He keeps his head held low, tight guard always moving, fast windmill hands, unpredictable attacks, makes him hard to hit or time. Carl had some brilliant moments though, taking centre ring demonstrating brilliant shot selection.. Looked like he was landing the sharper punches at times. He also obliged Josh when it came to the infighting & more than held his own. He's a true warrior! A fantastic talent & i think he has plenty left. It was a brilliant style gel & both men are class acts! If you haven't seen it make time for it.. Carl has nothing to be ashamed of or disheartened about here. Especially considering Warrington is becoming a very impressive FW! He looks like he could easily do 130lbs too..
I haven't seen the fight yet, (which I'm pissed about) I'm waiting for a few weeks when I have better internet quality. I knew he could pull it off, and over the moon about it. And I'm equally happy Frampton looked good in defeat, because I like him just as much, and wouldn't want it any other way.
He did and he has nothing to be ashamed of it was a tremendous fight. That being said I don't know where he goes from here i don't see him becoming a world champion again at 126 anyway and I think he is to small for 130. He is still a big name he could get the Santa Cruz trilogy to cash out but I see little next to no chance of him winning.
It's really good.. A bit of a war too. I really like Warringtons style, never really sets or plants his feet, always moving making crazy unpredictable attacks. Reminds me of an Orthodox Calzaghe in some ways, crazy stamina, punches in bunches, strong physicality.. & ye Carl boxed brilliantly. I was impressed.. It wasn't close score wise, I think I gave him 4 rounds maybe, he tried every trick he had up his sleeve & met fire with fire but he was beaten fair & square. Most rounds were competitive though...
What happened to Carl man? He fought Santa Cruz and looked fabulous. Rematch he did alright. He hasn't fought at that level since. He fought good, but I think he could have done better.
Think it's a combination of him not being at his peak now, and that Warrington is better than everyone thought
