If carl beats Martinez that means he has to fight Willie Casey in his next fight, which is a fairly easily winable fight for him. He will have plenty of time to grow into European level if he wins. That being said this is a 50/50 fight, with nothing to split them.

He is too easy to hit judging from the previous ten rounder, and with Martinez beating Booth so well in probably his best result since Dunne it looks bleak.

But if boxes and moves then he could do it, he can't be standing there trying to man up.

I see it as like a lower level Katsidis-Mitchell result.

I think people are forgetting the Rendall fight, and just how easy to outbox Martinez is. Forget the booth fight much like Napa, Booth is never a super bantam and looked well done during the Arthur fight previous.

Martinez is a very different fighter now. For one thing, he's dropped a lot of the muscle tone he had. He's powerful enough without it and it has allowed him to be a lot more dynamic in the ring. He's improved a lot technically, but even more than that, he has learned that he can't just blast everybody out of there. His work is much less forced, so he's not emptying the tank so quickly by over-committing to shots - that's something Prescott has still not learned.
