You can say what you like about ratings but surely you can't blame Frampton for taking the hump with being asked to perform on a card beneath Campbell. If the ratings are that big an issue then the split is for the best, but I think this short term parochialism is not gonna serve Sky well in the long run.

Sky are working from an ever narrowing outlook in which it's hard for Hearn to build fighters other than instant 'names' like Campbell. You could see how Smith couldn't wait to get Campbell into the Ringside studio, whilst not being so keen on putting time into others.

Eddie Hearn admitted that he couldn't give Frampton his full support because they only had a short-term deal.

Like it or not even though Luke Campbell is a bigger star in the eyes of the casuals than Carl Frampton even though he hasn't thrown a punch yet because of the Olympics/Dancing on Ice.

Frampton must try and keep busy now and not get too bogged down in the past. He's got a great chance in 2014 of becoming a world champion and having that massive fight with Quigg.

So he slags SS off and then goes to a channel with less exposure and works with the English version of Don King. He's only a European champion and Eddie was going to give him a couple of big days in Belfast, but because he was inactive he wanted to put him on a big card. If you look at Tony Bellew who's a much bigger name you dont see him fighting on his own shows. He fought in London and was only headlining because of Darren Barkers injury, London on the undercard of Froch v Kessler and also in Nottingham against that Argentinian fella.

What is hearn meant to do? Keep a fighter that gets bad viewing figures, that also only wants to fight on his own cards in his home city which also happens to be very expensive to broadcast? And on a short term deal with McGuigan constantly asking for a bigger share and to co promote ?

Eddie Hearn wouldn't be a very astute businessman to keep that going, if frampton isn't happy and he clearly wasnt then you vote with your feet as he has done. Don't think sky or Hearn will lose much sleep over it and let's see how frampton likes the meaty exposure of boxnation instead.

Shut up you ignorant ****. Sky is a British company and Frampton is from Northern Ireland- part of the UK.

If people could just refrain from making inflammatory comments about nationality, and also refrain from rising to the bait when they are posted, we could actually manage to get a decent thread about boxing going without 80% of it being drivel written by ignorant trolls with absent father issues.

Travellers, Irish, Scottish, Asian or whatever you will get someone throwing insults around. Half of this forum is made up of angry daily mail readers rattling off dull, rhetorical insults and people actually get offended by the idiocy of their posts and then reply, then every thread is derailed into moronic slanging matches. Please please just go away and post on the EDL twitter account or if you take umbrage to ignorant comments and want to discuss them in detail then join a debating society.

This is a thread about frampton leaving sky not nationality or history or bloodlines or flags.

don't know why he's pissed off about fighting on an undercard. loads of Hearns fighters do that.

look at the exposure that the Brook/Jones rematch is getting?? you'd barely know it was there if you didn't look hard enough.

Bellew fights on undercards a lot...

but if he feels like that, then i suppose he'll be liking Boxnation more. good luck to him...

If more than one man and his dog, actually wanted to watch the guy he may have a point. It is the same reason Junior Witter is a nobody, he bores the crap out of people.

Frampton sounds like a big headed twat,Scott Quigg didn't have any problems fighting on an undercard for Hearn,Bellew,Brook and Groves aswell.Top Ranks next up and coming show in Macau will feature Evgeny Gradovic who is a world champion fighting his mando on Zou Shimmings undercard. Now if that guy is a world champion and he has no problems with it why the **** should Frampton he has come nowhere near winning a world title yet and he already thinks hes callin the shots.I have a feeling he's going to live to regret leaving Matchroom.
