Tony Bellew is lucky to be fighting on the undercard of big shows. He's certainly one of Eddie's bum boys.
That's a pretty harsh comparison, Frampton is exciting to watch and comes to fight, Witter was like watching paint dry! Frampton just isn't fighting at an exciting weight and doesn't have that cross over appeal personality, but I can't knock him for his style. The Martinez and Molitor fights were hardly boring, Witter could only dream of such a dust up!
European champ who can pull 8000 should not be on a 4 rounder undercard. Not just because of selfish reasons but for the credibility of boxing. Campbells a big name but he also needs to work his way up the pro ranks. No need to put him as the first fight but not th emain event. Yet another thing that the UFC seem to get, while they laugh at how poor of a job boxing does. They'll put women as the main event if their the champs, simply for the credibility of MMA.
I am surprised about the Ireland thing. I think there are alot of decent Irish fighters they can put on a big card in a big venue for it to make sense.
I'm a fan of Carl, I'm a fan of Eddie, so I posed the questions that many are raising here. Eddie Hearn on Tyson Fury v David Haye, the break up with Carl Frampton & future of Paul McCloskey http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyDhlN1ck6I
you have to ask yourself how I knew this post was from you before even looking at your name are you scott gilfoid?
no need for the anti-irish comments guys! Eddie Hearn came across very well on the interview. His opinions on carl frampton were spot on. Frampton's views are very funny considering he is now on a channel which gives him no exposure! Also like Hearn says, burning your bridges is not a good move. He may be asking to go back to sky sports one day.
Yet Frampton's manager was happy to be involved when a debutant headlining the show - Flintoff. Correct me if I'm wrong.
