Frampton is a big enough name that he can afford to lose now.

The way I see it, he is the next Ricky Hatton and his support is incredible.

There is no reason he can't challenge himself against Rigo to establish who's the best in the division and then win or lose move up to FW.

He has been managed brilliantly and he can certainly afford a loss to a man most class as a p4p top ten fighter and if he does win, then he has his Kostya moment.

It's a no brainer to me.

For a 45/55 split, Frampton cannot fight Rigo. For 70/30 it should be possible.

What it brings is the opportunity to prove he's the best in his division.

I don't think it will happen 55 in Rigo's favour.

I think Rigo would probably accept a straight guarantee pay day.

He may want to fight Rigo to prove that he is the best in the divsion.

    So was Donaire.

    Look what happened.

Overnight, Donaire became a "hypejob," "fraud," "loser," "always was overrated," "exposed POS!" for taking a loss to Rigondeaux. Frampton is nowhere near the level that Donaire was.

Frampton himself wants to fight Rigo. He will make enough money to secure his future, he probably already has.

No one thinks he proved he was the best, they do think he proved he was the best from Britain though and they might now think he is the best but no one ranks him the number 1 in the world.

Rigo is not just a winnable fight now, it's one that makes sense.

And Donaire is still making millions now.

Yeah, Donaire fought anyone and never ran. A true warrior! hope he gets another big pay day.

    No he's not.

I remember hearing that Rigondeaux was his first or one of his first 7-figure paydays.

Certainly hasn't gotten that since then.

I think if Frampton fights Hugo Ruiz, he will lose!

Donaire also got sparked against Walters. But he's still the a-side when he fights.

Not sure how any of that relates to my post.

Frampton has said he wants to fight Rigo to prove he's the best in the division, I'm saying he has nothing to lose if the fight gets made.
