No. It’s all about who fought and beat the better opponents. Just because he won fights where sine devalued bauble was up for grabs doesn’t make him Ireland’s greatest. One of our best ever, no doubt...but not the very best. I don’t think he would have done as well against Barry mcguigans best opponents as Barry did and peak Barry beats peak Carl.

No. Maybe the most skilled, but not the best champion.

Even if he won a title in his 3rd weight class, Jimmy McLarnin would still be far greater than him

Frampton is totally arrogant and delusional if he really does indeed think that.

I really believe at his peak Barry was very hard to beat over 15 rounds. He was very attritional on opponents and wore them down. He wasn’t the quickest or the slickest and his footwork wasn’t top drawer, but I really feel he would be too much for Frampton over 15.

    No.
Carl's a very good fighter, but he wouldn't be the greatest Irish boxer in history, imo.

I would put McLarnin, McGuigan and Collins still ahead of him.

Quantity over quality, as is the norm in boxing.

Carls a great fighter but I'm a huge Steve Collins, McGuigan & Wayne McCullough fan too.. & Michael Carruth was a very skilled boxer too having won Olympic gold with wins over men like the great cuban Juan Hernandez sierra.
