This content is protected Fair play to Frampton for speaking up against the vile, narcissistic attention loving cretin.
He’s only bothered about the money. Him vs Warrington should never be a PPV. There is no right and wrong in this. There’s two wrongs and hopefully both PPVs flop.
Frampton is an odd one. Big local following, exciting fighter. I guess you can't get on with everyone but whenever I see things like this I think two things: He genuinely seems to dislike Hearn. He also comes across as being very bitter about the fact he's not getting the promotion Hearn fighters are.
If Frampton was on matchroom with the local fanbase he has he'd be turned into a genuine star in the uk. As it is he's a local hero. So yeah he's probably a bit bitter. At least he picks his promoters well eh... He best hope he has better luck picking his lawyers
Frampton said Josh LOST to Kiko. What do others think? I think a draw would have been fair. Of course, he is stuck on BT now and his dream stadium fight was against a nobody. I'd imagine he will be going solo after this fight. I think it's more PPV worthy than some we have had this year. British world unification between two boxers who we know come to fight.
So frampton thinks a fighter who “lost” to Kiko Martinez is a worthy PPV fight. It’s a british world title fight between one quality fighter and the Leeds Anthony Crolla.
The thing I'm pissed about is the fact that you have to sub to BT in order to book the PPV anyway. I've been paying for Boxnation since 2012 and know the content on there has been shredded to bolster BT. I don't pay for Sky Sports anymore, just the basic package and this gives me the choice about which PPV's to purchase, and to be honest a lot of boxing coverage ends up on YouTube and similar in no time. I don't think that either fight warrants PPV to be honest but, fighters know their value more these days due to digital figure exposure and social media hits and consequently expect pay commensurate with that value. Frampton is no doubt bitter as his big night is likely gonna fail to the Heavyweight scrap PPV. I also wouldn't be surprised that he's regretting joining Warrens ranks, especially with the DAZN deal coming through. Frampton has the sort of profile befitting a DAZN fighter.
I'm sure Frampton is being well rewarded for this fight, he's bound to have a sizeable guarantee. Warren needed names for his BT deal, he secured Frampton and Fury. The Windsor park fight would've been the icing on the cake, but the cash on offer is what would've lured any fighter. I do agree with him though, the two fights on the same night won't do anyone any favours. Neither the fans nor the fighters.
Of course he's bothered about the money. He's in the last phase of his career and wants to earn as much as he can. Do people have a problem with that? Frank Warren made this fight PPV, not Carl Frampton. He's right about Eddie. Warren had the date pencilled in months ago. Hearn is purposely sabotaging the PPV. Its petty and it's bad for boxing. Any time Warren puts on anything decent, Hearn puts on a card to challenge it. Its boxing fans that lose out. I really hope that crap ends in 2019.
