Frampton never wanted to do that and if he stayed with Eddie till he was mandatory then he would have had to sign a new contract with Hearn which would have been crazy. Frampton wanted McGuigan but Hearn never wanted that.
At the end of the day Frampton dealt with the situation like a man and he is now fighting on Boxnation. And as far is him being innactive he had left Hearn in June and was meant to be fighting 3 times last year starting on Frank ******s July bill in London and then he was meant to be out again twice in Belfast in September and December but he got an ear infection which kept him out of ******s card and that also ko'd the September date because they could only manage mid October for the Parodi fight. After that fight McGuigan made it clear he was wanting a world title fight next against Martinez or Mathebula and was willing to pay big money for the winner to come to Belfast and if it was Martinez which it is then they would even be willing to fight him in Spain. So i take McGuigan is working on Frampton's options as we speak.

But you are saying McGuigan isn't up to the job and doesn't know what he's doing even though you do not know the facts. Your just throwing mud hoping it will stick.

But he's not fighting Kiko so we can forget about that. He doesn't really have many options. Fighting Santa Cruz of a near year long layoff is insane

Facts are facts. Mathcroom had him in position to fight for final eliminator in his next fight. Since then he's gone on to fight only once in 9 months in another eliminator(not a final eliminator) then decided not to take a final eliminator when it's offered. Santa Cruz woukd be a good fight. Fighting him off a near year long layoff is pretty insane when he could quite easily of been fighting for the IBF belt had he been managed correctly. I don't know all the facts from inside the camp but I know they've failed to win an easy belt beacuse of Barry's greed

If Martinez shites himself and goes the Quigg route then Frampton has two choices in my opinion. Santa Cruz in America (agree with the theory that he won't travel) or Rigondeaux in Belfast. It is a leap to take on the Cuban great but he's struggling for opponents too so they should try to organise that. Frampton would probably come up short in that fight but a good performance coupled with what he would learn from being in the ring with a boxing master would set him up well for the rest of his career

Fighting Rigo would be career suicide for Frampton,he needs to stay well clear of that fight.

frampton is a really good prospect unlike Eubank Jnr and Ogogo, seems like you hate on the best Uk prospects, but big up the JLS lookalike frauds

Doesn't Barry have big backers for quigg behind the scenes? That was the impression I got from Carl frampton so twitter feeds. It would make sense as well as they put a show on at the Odessy after leaving hearn and ****** would not have paid for that

don't agree. Career Suicide is a bit strong, sure he may take a loss but in the long run it would benefit him. He'd also get a decent payday and the chance at Rigo's titles.

Something has to give with the superbantams. At the moment everybody is losing out. Frampton & Quigg are inactive, so is superchamp Rigo and Kiko for all his "being champion" advantages cant be making a fortune fighting virtually unknown south africans with no TV coverage. They all need each other to make the ol' cha-ching!
Somebody will come up with the money to fund a big show-down soon, I hope. The only question is how soon will it happen?

Thing with boxing is sometimes the opportunity is not the right time but if people are determined enough it will come. Frampton will achieve his goals but hes being careful in the way he does it.

I see martinez being a hard deal to get over due to him getting pasted last time out by carl.

Either way Barry will see him right.
