What I never understand is that Andy Scott is far superior to Halling yet he hasn't got a full time contract with Sky.
Are we back to the old " Frampton has more fans than Quigg " argument now ? Framptons a good fighter, good skills, good power, but he also eats plenty of punches, which makes for entertaining fights. BUT, lets be realistic here, if he were from mainland UK, he'd be no more popular than any other small British fighter with a World Title. He ain't no Ricky Hatton.
Great comparison actually, lets look at it.. Was old Ricky selling out 10,000-15,000 arenas in his 15th fight? or headlining shows? no he wasnt he was fight no names in arenas such as North Bridge Leisure Centre in Halifax and the notion that Quigg has grown a huge fanbase overnight is nonsense, again its being pushed by a bias sky agenda, the loyal english supports have a sense of nationalism not allowing them to cheer on a N.Irishman against an Englishman, its understandable
I'm no fan of Hatton, and absolutely not an English man. Framptons popularity is partly due to his talent, and largely to do with being a Belfast man. I must be honest though, why have the Free Staters taken to him ?
u used Hatton as the comparison tho? boxing is much like rugby as in its not segregated between north and south, football was also the same until the Rep. broke away.. which is why Northern Ireland FA is known as the Irish FA still Frampton was a very successful Irish amateur boxer
Halling is a WWE type commentator. He tows the company line, uses hyperbole at every possible moment to exaggerate what the Sky fighter is doing and ignores the non-Sky fighters punches even when they are snapping the home fighters head back. A moron of epic proportions.
The Irish (from the Republic) are leaches. They haven't got a single world class boxer to follow so are trying to claim a Brit as one of their own. If you're Frampton, it makes sense to use those mugs to buy your next house whilst all the while knowing you're British, not Irish. It's the same with the Rep. of Ireland football team. Mainly made up of Brits who had a great aunt who once went to Ireland for a day trip and now the whole family is Irish.
Johnny Nelson was saying that Frampton wasn't sweating and struggling to make weight I thought it would have been that although I can't imagine Halling would be trolling anyone on Twitter
