Frampton v Martinez on McCloskey undercard.

Good post. They obviously feel he has the tools to do the job but once you've succeeded, the waters become far more dangerous.

Munroe might take some step aside money and Frampton could be ready for him in a few fights, but I would prefer him to have at least 15 fights down before taking that. I think if he beats Martinez, and it's 50-50, Casey is the hugely logical defence around Christmas time.

Very hard fight for Frampton, seeing Martinez in his last few fights he looks to have improved a fair bit, putting more thought into his work. Frampton will need to be ready for 12 hard rounds if he wants to prevail. I think he will squeak by on points. :good

Casey said in an interview recently that he has pretty much been promised a crack off the winner and he's getting in three fights before it to prepare. I know not everything in the sport comes off as planned but I'd say it's the likeliest move for Frampton. A big name and a fight he should win. But let's not speculate on what will happen, he has a huge task in front of him.

 

How come Frampton is being moved this quick? Seems too soon
for me. Hope he wins though.

 

The offer is there. He could be waiting a long while for another opportunity like this so I guess they think it's worth the risk.

Martinez won a ******* against Booth last time up and if hes focused and ready can see him KOing Frampton..

Its a tough match up for Carl but to be honest I think he will win this clearly..

 

In my opinion it's an obvious answer, he looks to take on the best in Europe and he tries to confirm his position as number one in Europe before moving onto world level. There are plenty of big fights for him to make along the way - Casey, Hyland, Quigg, Munroe & Booth and he wouldn't even have to travel outside Ireland to make most of them fights..

 

Yeah plently of decent matchups for him at 122 in Europe alone. If he beats Martinez he will have plenty of time to grow as a fighter against some of the names you mentioned.
