Dragon punch and oiky....you two need to familiarise yourselves with the two boxers. LSC weighed 125 for his last fight, Carl 122. Hardly a big difference.

Do you think having an easier time making weight will help Carl up his output in the fight Len? He won't get away with fighting at the same pace Quigg allowed him to against LSC.

Mate I was more talking about LSC's height and reach advantages - it's going to be a nightmare for Carl especially in the later rounds When he's tired- I want him to win obviously but he's getting stopped.

Yes a bit , but Not so much output as power, sugar. Without being weight drained I'm hoping Carl will have enough on his punches to keep LSC honest.

This will be quality versus quantity, and the key to Carl not taking too much punishment is to reduce Leo's punch output waaay down from 100-punches-a-round to a level Carl can cope with.

This fight is being marketed to the casuals as a war. I don't think it will pan out that way. Carl is a very cautious safety first guy. So are the mcguigans. They all know wars shorten careers. This fight will be a lot more tactical than expected. It won't be a wild shootout. I doubt leo will be buzz sawing 100 punches a round, and neither will Carl.

Not for one second am I underestimating the scale of the task facing Frampton here. Provided Carl's stamina and chin hold up, and provided he has enough mus**** on his punches to keep LSC from walking through him, I think he can do it.

Not yet. Bizarre situation given Frampton's profile.

He fought on a channel nobody watches for a while after leaving then was involved in a stinker of a fight on PPV. What profile does he have exactly?

Ok - those are concerns I share with you. If Carl gets tired while LSC is still able to throw a blizzard of punches, then he really will be doomed.
But recall Carls footwork is far better than LSCs. Hitting Carl wont be like hitting Mares or Kiko, both of whom threw tactics out the window and just slugged it out with him - suicidal kamikaze tactics. Both were there to be hit. He didn't have to look for them.

Hitting Carl will mean using footwork - something LSC isnt so good at. Also Carls jab is excellent. If he is made to move and chase and miss a lot, Leo will tire too. Thats what I hope anyway! :good

Am I the only one who thinks frampton takes Santa Cruz to school? Dont see how peiple rate danta cruz so highly. Hes decent but not brilliant. Great stamina, workrate and chin. But frampton has better skill, speed, footwork, boxing brain, power. I don't buy into the myth Santa cruz is a big puncher. I think Santa cruz best chance is for frampton to get tired in the later rounds. But I'm hoping that the extra few pounds he doesn't have to cut will sort this problem.

Rehydration too will be a bonus for Frampton, no longer has to watch his intake after a weigh-in to make the 132 IBF check weight

It is a bit surprising I suppose. But rightly or wrongly the perception out there is that Carl's stock dropped a bit over his last few fights and Leo's has risen.
Plus there is the heavier weight, and the fight being in USA.

I think people feel that Leo only has to do what he has repeatedly shown himself capable of doing, walking his man down with his unrivalled chin, stamina and his trademark blizzard of punches.

Whereas in many ways Carl is being asked to do something that is entirely new to him. Like you I think Carl can do it, but I'm not as confident as you are. I make Leo a slight....55-45 favourite.
