I'm sure Leo Santa Cruz wouldn't say he's feather-fisted either after getting sent flying into the ropes from a punch in their first fight that should've been scored as a knockdown since it was only the ropes that kept him up. I never heard Frampton described by anyone as feather-fisted until now.
Well now you have. He hasn’t stopped any top level opponents. Maybe Martinez if you’re being generous. He’s a quality boxer but he’s not the biggest of punchers at featherweight.
Based on what? Murray, Heffron, Conlan v TBA? Williams v Metcalf should be decent. But doesn’t make this a good card.
I can't see it being anything like that 1st fight, with what's in store for Whyte in April; Frampton/Warrington all day for me, i honestly cannot see how that fight will be remotely dull. i definitely see the reasoning behind watching Whyte/Chisora II, but i just can't see it being the same sort of fight.
Based on the state of hearns undercard next week. He knows he can put on any dross and people will still buy
It has to remain on PPV to pay the fighters but I wouldn't expect big numbers. Frampton v Quigg did 250k and that was with all the sky hype behind it. I don't think the smaller weight fighters resonate with the wider audience unless basically they punch extremely hard like Naz did. This I see doing 100-150k max. Now it will be interesting to see what the Warren and BT estimated.
I kinda agree, I reckon feather fisted might be harsh but he is far from a puncher. He might generate more power if he changed his style but then his style might be a symptom of his lack of genuine power at the end of the day
Hearn always has the best cop out with regards to ppv undercards, I dint own the show the fighters do. As if he or Sky cant just say unless you agree to x being spent on the undercard, then we you wont be ppv.
Can’t see Eddie giving burton to frank to boost his PPV numbers if he was offered it I think eddie woulda make the buatsi or frank bugloni fight
Frampton seething with rage as he knows his PPV pie has went from a Huge Steak Pie down to a small Pukka Pie.
