Hey Len I like both fighters but having watched that I am now rooting for josh he's a cracking kid..very likeable and I think he will do the bizzo.f.t.p
Fielding went over with Nigel Travis. Moore was due to go over on Thursday and come back on Sunday. Frampton will have scaled his training down. Surely he has enough experience to train lightly and watch his food for 4 days.
I never thought i'd ever pick Warrington over Frampton but I think Warrington might just outwork Frampton.
I don't mind him, think he's ok, but in fairness he did come across as a real irritating guy in the Selby build up.
LMAO guessing that was all an act to sell the fight. They picked warrington to be the trash talker cos Lee Selby just is too laid back and hasn't got the personality to act a role. So Josh got the job. I like Josh. He's a good guy, But good guy or bad guy ....either way he loses on 22nd.
frampton: warrington got lucky getting selby at his worst and very weight drained Josh is tough so I see it going the distance and being competitive
Agree. Unlikely Carl stops him ...carl was a monster puncher at 122, but the knockouts have dried up at 126..plus Josh is huge and super fit ..but Carl should win convincingly on points. It's all about levels as they say. ...
This notion that Carl is on another level to Josh is pure fantasy Len. I agree Carl is a great fighter but there is no big gulf separating them imo.
Well you can only go by their respective records. Based on that Carl IS levels above josh. I’ve explained about joshs 2 best wins already. Now that’s not to say that if josh improves massively he won’t reach Carl’s level. But with josh being feather fisted that seems unlikely to happen. There’s only so far he can go as an “energizer bunny”. Particularly is it’s not backed up by boxing skills and punching power. Sorry about that Spartacus but that’s the way it is.
There's a film that has just been released about Josh. It's called "fighting for a city" it's been released by universal studios and is a real quality watch. They have followed him around for near in 3yrs. It covers his struggles as a fighter, reflects back on his small hall days and we see joshs family life, marriage kids etc and of course his training. I would highly recommend this film if you want to know the real Josh Warrington. It's out on dvd now
3 years! That's a long time to follow him around. It won't take Carl that long to figure him out. On the 22nd Carl will follow him around for 3 rounds...before figuring him out and winning the other 9!
Just watched some of the cross table head to head debate. Josh looks way bigger than carl. Maybe too big. Is he struggling at the weight? What would worry me if I was a Josh fan is the way he makes constant reference to having been able to finish Selby any time he pleased . .so why didn't you do it Josh? I'm not sure Josh has a championship mentality. Not saying he has the proverbial sparring partner journey man mentality either but there just seems to be something lacking g with Josh.
