This situation is no different than any other great champion (Frampton) giving any other run-of-the-mill challenger (Quigg) a shot at his title. What's all the fuss about? No mystery here. Carry on.

Quigg is coming off inactivity. Even when he was active he could not get big fights or even draw a crowd.

He should jolly well be grateful to be thrown a few crumbs from the rich mans table.......

 

Can't understand all these people claiming Frampton is a genuine world champion and Quigg isn't.

We all know Quigg's belt is no use for any more than holding his trousers up. But Frampton is no better. Rigondeaux is the legit champion in that division and offered to come over to Belfast to fight Carl. He was also mandatory for Leo Santa Cruz. Yet his team took the path of least resistance by organising a fight with a weak belt holder knowing full well that he had the guy's number.

The split needs to be based on sales and usual pay packets not whose belt is more paper than the other's.

 

He fought three times last year and last time in November, hardly inactive by today's standards.

Frampton will tick over and Quigg fights those two? He won't go near those two ever!

 

They should fight each other for free, put any money made from the fight in a pot and give it to Rigo.

I went 45 55. But 60 40 is also fair imo. But lets not forget we need frampton AND quigg to make this fight happen

Quigg doesn't hold a real version of the WBA title.

He has NO following.

His profile on SKY is non-existent.

He can't sell-out arenas on his own name.

He isn't even fighting decent opponents in his own division!

He literally brings NOTHING to the table. He's seen as a rival to Carl due to them being in the same division, but other than that he hasn't got any bargaining power.

Quiggs had 30 fights & best win is a 33 year old Monroe . Nuff said.
