Frampton landed just 14% of his total punches (83 of 592) according to CompuBox statistics. Quigg connected on 85 of 322 overall (26%).

So one dude landed only 2 punches less but threw 270 more punches and won.............what is your point?

"Punch stats-Stats pulled from the ass of some people ringside then repeated as fact, with no one checking them"

    Interesting

I had Quigg up by 2 rounds and was wondering about the punch stats as Frampton looked busy but often wasnt landing whilst Quigg often didnt throw and look as busy but did look to me to overall land the better shots.

    Quigg by 2 rounds

Quigg threw it away by the way he fought in the first 6 or 7 rounds. Nobody to blame but himself and his team. They both let themselves down as well - who will be buying their PPV's in the future? Not me.

Quigg did NOTHING for 6 rounds. He literally landed zero punches in the first round. Frampton wasn't setting the world on fire either but he was throwing an occasional jab and was forcing the action.

Quigg came on 9-11 but Frampton came out in the 12th and took the fight to Quigg....and Frampton looked gassed in the 11th so big props to him for understanding what he needed to do. Quigg looked like a deer in headlights most of the time.

Quigg won no more than 4 rounds. Dude blew the chance of a lifetime by doing nothing.

I thought Quigg edged it, but would have thought Quigg would have learnt from starting slow like when he got a draw previously.
Frampton wasnt landing much but looking busier, where as Quigg didnt look busy even if he were to have landed the better punches in a round

    THIS.

Quigg could do much better in a rematch though.

If Quigg had put it on him earlier and gone to the body it would have been a different fight.

Quigg would lose more convincingly in a rematch he's not on Framptons level ..

Quigg was too inactive. Once Frampton gained confidence I knew he was winning.
