HBO was ecstatic by Rigo-Donaire, but shortly afterwards, it wasn't the networks that bad-mouthed Rigo but that slimy lawyer, Bob Arum.
Rigo must have asked Arum to open his accounting books, or called his wife or daughter ugly or something, because it made no sense how Arum sabotaged his own fighter's career like that.

They don't want to suffer career ending injury. They know that's exactly what we happen to them if the step in the ring with Rigo

Rigo doesn't draw because he top guys don't want to face him. No one wants to see him against inferior competition, unfortunately those are ones that are willing to step in the ring with him. When Rigo fights a top guy like Donaire, boxing fans don't have a problem tuning.

Agreed, but not doing so doesn't make boxers cowards. And the best also have a responsibility to promote their careers and generate interest and money, and not fight Jazza Dickens. The single worst position a fighter can place themselves in is be very, very good and very, very low reward. Rigo is a victim of his mismanagement and not of so-called cowards 'ducking' him.

I was with you until the point where you said "mismanagement". The only mismanagement Rigo ever made in his career is being too good.

He has been completely mismanaged since his biggest win back in 2013 he hasn't had another big money big name opponent since. Mayweather had a boring style and a virtual guaranteed loss but fighters couldn't wait to line up to fight the money man. Their is no incentive like that to fight boring ass Rigo, first nobody will be watching (except the most diehard Rigo fans) and second the money isn't there to make up for the probable L, like it was for fighting Manny or Floyd.

He'd definitely get a decent amount of viewers against a top guy - but that's thanks to the top guy. He needs to fight a draw and those guys have no reaso to fight him if the money isn't great and the networks aren't pushing it.

Agbeko was one of the best guys in their weight class when they faced each other and the fight was an abortion on every level. I'm one of the guys who actually enjoys watching Rigo but I know, and understand, why I'm in the minority.

Generally speaking, I want to see the best fight the best, but I'd say this is one of the few exceptions. Rigo isn't worth the hassle. He'll win against both of them and only us bums on this forum will watch it - probably falling asleep when doing so.

Have they ducked him? Probably, but not in the traditional sense that you avoid some explosive exciting fight in favour of fighting a pushover in a snoozefest. Three great fights in a row from Frampton and back-to-back for LSC.

The problem with Rigo isn't that he's defensive either, it's that he's capable of going out there and dismantling someone in a manner that any person, hardcore or casual, could appreciate and yet he chooses not to in favour of boring everyone to death. He doesn't even have charisma to be a villain in place of such a borefest.

Rigo, to me, seems like he's quite happy to be the guy that everyone just doesn't fight. He does nothing to push for them and yet everyone just assumes he's the one trying to make the fight.

Why isn't he crashing weigh-ins? Press conferences? Ringside? Storming the ring after fights? None of it - because he doesn't really care and he has no charisma.

Rigo is a guaranteed arsewhipping for these guys and they are not signing on the dotted line for that. Rigo has literally destroyed anyone he has faced. Make any excuse you like boring, no money, no gate, no ppv.

Rigo the Chakal is the most feared man in boxing.

Rigo next fight is Feb 25 ppv HBO Be there to watch a master.
