Actually, I didn't make a pick. Quite frankly, I think AJ is another version of a Bruno, maybe slightly better, but not much. So how Ngannou does with AJ will give a decent insight into how a Bruno bout might have gone.

No way, weaker boxers lasted longer than 3 rounds v Frank, Francis is huge and would be the only fighter that matched Bruno`s reach along with a faded Carl Williams.

What if he catches Frank with the same counter hook that floored Fury?

Looking back really it’s just a matter of me overestimating Fury. FN is obviously not a bad boxer and you shouldn’t let his background fool you or insult the sport - how many kickboxers have become reigning world champions? I think Bruno would be too far for FN, Bruno was an honest pro and is better at Francis at everything he’s showed us. He could win though.

Bruno had no head movement and poor stamina.

Sounds like an archetypical HW today.

I am sometimes seen as being hard on Bruno, but in this case I won't make Fury's problem his problem.

Fury having a bad day against Ngannou, doesn't necessarily translate into other top fighters having a bad day against him.

As things stand Bruno's pedigree is enough to make him the favorite.

Like all the other prediction in this thread, this one might have a very short use by date.

I went with Bruno. I don’t think Fury trained hard or even gave Ngannou much thought before facing him. If Joshua doesn’t make the same mistakes he likely destroys him.

If forced somehow to pick now, I would have to go with Frank Bruno against ANY 0-1 Professional Boxer. In addition to the fact that Francis Ngannou is Zero for one, I do NOT like ranking a boxer highly, based on a loss, under any circumstances (not even based on a very good showing). If he beats Joshua I may change my opinion of him. For NOW, I am picking Anthony Joshua to win and am also forced to go with Frank Bruno in this hypothetical.

What if Bruno catches him with the same hook that staggered Mike Tyson?

Going on what we know, we have a guy with one professional Boxing contest against a man with a fourteen year career.

Ngannou was competitive, arguably robbed, against a horribly out of shape and undercooked Fury but the punch output from both was scandalous. Average ten punches per round each.

Bruno was dynamite at rolling over mediocre Heavyweights and you would need to throw more than ten punches per round to keep him away, particularly if you don't have the mobility to stay away.

I see a generic Bruno win here against a non elite level opponent. Classic set up and finish inside four.

Francis has a good chin and a harder punch than Jumbo Cummings.

Wasn`t so generic v the non elite Jumbo Cummings, if Francis Bruno flush it would be lights out.

Bruno was still a rookie at the time. Admittedly, if Ngannou beats AJ, the picture changes entirely.

The other side of the coin is this----a ko by Joshua & FN is looked at as an easy fight and hand picked opponent. Through time, he will not be looked at as any kind of threat but a softie.
