Did he make an announced retirement? Talk about a waste of talent. I thought he was gonna be a star.

That kid got a ton of hype. I remember even in Maxim magazine, they did a little profile on him, called him one of the sports rising stars.

I remember Kellerman thought Bojado and Ricardo Williams were the next big stars at 140.

I still remember when he lost to Jess Jame Leija. Couldn't believe it.

Both of them were super talented... Bojado just didn't seem to want it enough to get into top shape. Williams is coming back now, he just got out of the joint and he's young enough to make some noise if he can get his head right.

He looked like a future star.

He was about equal (almost) to Miguel Cotto's level in terms of having the most promise among the young up and coming fighters, back in the early part of this decade.

Typical example of a young guy having all the gifts a fighter could ask for but not there in mental department. What I've heard he's still into boxing, maybe even visiting the gym regularly, can be seen at amateur events, so he might come back one day. He's still just 25.

What about when he lost to Juan Carlos Rubio?? Came in out of shape and got badly outworked and outgutted.

I still think an in-shape, focused Bojado is a top level fighter. His fight with Emanuel Clottey showed his potential. Too bad he has never realized it.

I liked the kid..I got a bit excited about him aswell.

But when I heard this gem " he will be the first billion dollar fighter"...I just shook my head in disbelief.

I truly believe that that sort of hype is like poison to a kid like him and that had at least something to do with him being one of boxing's true epic fails.

We were able to see his physical attributes but his mind was probably lacking. I too remember being really impressed at first.

That fight definitely did something to him....he wasn't the same afterwards.
