AFAIK this is the next internationally viewable live boxing event. 26 year old puncher Fonseca is a multiple-time world title challenger, best remembered for his first loss to Gervonta Davis on the Mayweather vs. McGregor undercard (and since co-headlining on the Canelo vs. Fielding card with a UD loss against Tevin Farmer, and most recently getting blitzed in under ninety seconds by Golden Boy's new young hot rod "King" Ryan García this past February). His brother Alfredo picked up a corner retirement victory in a dreadful bout on the Ramiro Blanco Hernández vs. Robín Zamora II & Eliézer Gazo Muñoz vs. Byron Javier Castellón VII card, also at Alexis Argüello Arena in Nicaragua and courtesy of Bufalo Promotions - which to date is the only live RBR done since the worldwide pandemic-induced shutdown. Osejo is a tough and crafty 34 year old southpaw veteran of nearly 60 pro bouts - and IMO a very live dog. He only has a few stoppage losses despite facing plenty of fairly well-known and hard-hitting prospects and contenders - and has even upset a few along the way here & there. His best result is probably netting a split draw with Francisco Martínez in 2016, on the road in Kiko's backyard in Spain. It'll be interesting to see for whom the crowd is cheering. Managua is the residence of the Fonseca brothers, whereas Osejo comes from the much smaller agricultural city of Chinandega roughly 85 miles northwest (its population is a mere 130k, about twelve percent of Managua's excess of a million). The journeyman, however, is true-blue nicaragüense; the Fonseca bros grew up in Costa Rica, where they spent their youths and first several years of their boxing careers from their pro debuts until 2018... Keep an eye out a week from Saturday for the Facebook Live stream and RBR.
...jfc, you plebes won't even take an interest during a crisis in a months-long near total combat sports vacuum in my obscure South American crap? Second match in over nine weeks to headline a card broadcast in any way shape or form, and maybe the last you'll see until autumn...but no. Still not worth your time or attention. Let's make or comment upon the fifty millionth Joshua thread instead.
Guys who didn't stop Osejo: Alvaro Pérez Berman "La Cobra" Sánchez Moises Castro Juan Antonio Rodríguez Mozo (the guy that upset Mercito Gesta last year; Osejo beat him via MD) John "Action" Jackson (holds amateur victories over Brandon Rios & Willie Nelson; Osejo beat him by TD) Cristian Mijares René "Gemelo" Alvarado (in their most recent meeting; in the first two Alvarado did stop him) Jhonny González Jezreel Corrales Kiko Martínez (held to a draw) Evgeny Gradovich (Osejo actually dropped El Ruso Mexicano, and held Grad to a SD loss in Russia!) Oleg Malynovskyi Zelfa Barrett Yonfrez Parejo Aside from the massive punching Gemelo, the only stoppage losses in Osejo's career have come against Daniel Diaz, Alberto Garza, Miguel "Ranita" González - afaik all corner retirements due to cuts/facial damage. Boiled leather, is El Cascabel.
