    René Alvarado is on a nice run lately, would like to see a rematch between him and Canció. (they fought in 2015 in a sleeper FOTY candidate, ending it a cuts stoppage win for Canció, with Alvarado down once)

    I'm not sure being 0-0-1 is any worse for a guy's marketability than being 0-0-0-1 (had it been ruled a NC) - the most important thing is the zero value in the L column, no?

    Yeah, close, but 29-0-0 is unblemished, with 29-0-1 the announcer has to go through a 3 minute explanation at the stare down with the details and results of the rematch (which there will be). It just doesn't sound the same or look the same on the marquis.

    True, with No Contests the ring announcers usually just omit them entirely from the verbal proclamations of the record. (although most TV graphics do include them)
