Even at 35, Salido would likely make some sort of a comeback. :deal

Salido could be dangerous. He has faster hands and a higher workrate as Miura, who has troubled Vargas a lot.

At the moment, I think Vargas. Salido won both fights vs Martinez, it's a shame he didn't get the decision for it.
If Lomachenko fights and beats the winner, even if it was Vargas, I feel he would have in effect put the Salido situation to bed.

A prime Salido could grind him down just as Vargas did. :think
(i think that KO was a fluke)

But it would take a hell of a performance.

No I've been a big fan of Miura's for a while, I picked Miura to win by KO last year, overall I still think he's better than Vargas and I agree that KO was flukish, that being said when you're getting dropped left and right by Rocky Martinez and Terdsak Kokietgym at SFW the first real hard hitting SFW Salido goes up against.:scaredas: And Vargas will be the first real hard hitting SFW he's gone up against.:deal Miura cuts him in half.

Salido puts up a good fight despite going down 5-6 times

Nah. There's nothing like direct vengeance in a rematch.

Now if Salido were to lose to Vargas and immediately announce his retirement, that would be that. Best case for Loma then would be to beat Vargas. Otherwise, though, he's best served getting both in the ring, in no particular order (loser before or after).

Look at how many people dog Wlad for never avenging his losses during the period it was still technically possible even after his conquerors hado ceased to be relevant. And even coming off a loss to Vargas (in a title fight, directly preceded by two very close world title fights many feel he won) it wouldn't be as if Salido were himself now irrelevant or unworthy of a date to settle their business.

Vargas takes this and hopefully unifies with(beats down) Rocky Martinez later this year.

Vargas doesn't quite punch hard enough to guarantee he doesn't get robbed.

I'm not sure anybody in the division really does except Uchiyama.

That is true, although Loma would get a pass because it was his second fight and beating Vargas who is equally the massive stylistic threat to Lomachenko would be a great feat.

He has to fight these guys some time, he's already proven he can beat Walters-esque fighters and Russell Jr-esque fighters very convincingly. Fighting both would be great for legacy, and great for gaining experience vs stylistic threats.
