    Well that was anti-climactic

Well, that wasn't the least bit informative about Slava. :conf

Sure, beating an 11-0 opponent with eight knockouts looks nice on his record, but this was honestly a step back from underrated journeyman Garrett Wilson.

Slava looked good, but looks clueless when fighting on the inside

Imo an in fighter would give him a bunch of problems

Wilson is one tough dude though

Gave Glaskov a pretty tough fight and really went for it. Granted I don't think Glaskov is the best fighter, but still he's a HW and wilsons a lhw

The fact that, of all the (limited) available footage of Peña, which I compiled on the 2nd page of this very thread, you have one draw and one majority decision (with the KO being over a debutant) - all versus low-level opposition - pretty much told you everything you needed to know heading in. :!:

    Brazil continues to suck.

    Thanks a lot, MMA!

I'm not sure I'd pick Shabranskyy with too much confidence over a Fonfara. (who's similarly giraffe-necked and is just as good on the outside and better at infighting)

The likes of Beterbiev and Kovalev knock him senseless, IMO.

That's even projecting that he improves quite a bit with some more seasoning. (while some guys actually do plateau in skill at the level he's currently at)

Damn, figured we might get a commercial break. I was going to rewind and watch the Falcão highlights again.

Well we don't know how good Pena really was, he may have been amazing and Slava just made a great fighter quit.......but not likely

I think between those^ and his 15 minutes of "effort" tonight we can say pretty safely that Peña is nothing close to amazing. :yep

Oh yeah - Shabranskyy picked up the vacant WBC United States (USNBC) light heavyweight title, for what that's worth. :conf
