    Thanks for the film. It was a hell of a lot better than my 52 yr old memory or for that matter the black-and-white old 21" Philco picture.

    Getting put out by Bethea and Bygraves. I'll stick with that. Every boxer walks into one now and then. De Piccoli just didn't seem to have a good chin.

    This was the first time I have seen him in film as a pro, or getting knocked out.

    Yes and No

    Franco walked through punches from Percy Price and Daan Bekker in the amateurs, and
    both of those guys were 'one-punch' knockout artists.

    Something happened in 1963, with those 'knockout losses'.

    April 12, 1965- Franco 34-2-0 (26 KO's) scored a "KO 1" over American Heavyweight - Floyd Joyner 22-9-3 (9 KO's).

    Floyd who was a decent and good sized 6' 2" 213 lb. 'journeyman' hit Franco with everything he had,
    and pin-point punches in the 1st Round, and then Franco countered with one right hook, and it was all over.

    Floyd hit just as hard as Wayne Bethea.
