    I agree with that. But Ruiz was the better technician, that is why I slightly favour the Quiet Man

    I'll concede that Ruiz was technically better.

    This would not have been a very enthralling fight I suspect.

    Ruiz on points in a sloppy frustrating type of fight to watch. I'll be pulling for the White Buffalo, but he wasn't a good boxer. Ruiz was a decent jab and grab guy, so he takes it.

    The fact that you brought up a can like Bates is hilarious. Holyfield beat up a tomato can like Jeremy Bates so what. He was still shot.

    I was going to write a post, and then ran across the one I'd already posted and forgot about. Yep, I still think pretty much the same. Not a pleasant fight to watch, and these two are pretty well matched.

    Ruiz was a 12 round fighter and Botha struggled to finish championship level fights. That’s the big difference.

    Not a fan of either but I go with Ruiz. He clutches and grabs his way to a UD or late stoppage. He has a better resume than Botha.
