If Bruno was around today and in his prime, how would he do in the heavyweight division?

Maybe better than Joshua since he's less stiff and he could atleast box.

Bruno at his best was good enough to be an Undisputed champion in our day, in my opinion.

Whilst i was a huge Bruno fan, went to many of his fights including Tyson1, i just don't see it, i probably did back then because to me at the time, his size, his huge right hand etc, but he was very vulnerable, could and was not scared to have a fight don't get me wrong.
I have no doubt he would beat most HWs around today but, when he steps up he somehow always comes unstuck, and would do in this era a lot more due to the size of these guys today.
Remember Jumbo Cummings, had Frank out on his feet, i could see a Baby Miller landing one like that and ending it early.
He would win a world title unqestionably because he had the ability, but it would be good matchmaking and against less elite fighters.

He would do great imho. Big enough, strong enough, and more skilled than many of today’s fighters. Great jab that would serve him well.

He would be a top contender. Would he be the best ? Doubt it. Something tells me he would always hit that glass ceiling in every era

    Undoubtedly.
Please, of all fighters, let's not use revisionism to elevate this guy.
He was incredibly well steered into big opportunities and came unstuck each time.
Never has a fighter with so many frailties got so far so often IMO.
He eventually beat a faded McCall for a version of the title , but nobody was remotely fooled into thinking this guy was 'World Champ'
Who else did he beat ?
A badly faded Carl Williams and similar Coetzee.
His winning resume is anorexically thin .
He was fed some of the most dented Tomato Cans ever.
He was a straight up and down jab/right hand fighter, with no lateral movement and he couldn't fight or operate at all whilst moving backwards.
    Robotic in the extreme.
Very fit man and very heavy handed, but lacking natural talent.
In this era, Usyk and Fury would box him to sleep , even someone like Joe Joyce or Chisora would take him into deep waters.
Bruno would mop up 20 quick wins against cans in any era before coming unstuck once meeting top 10 guys .

Joshua is both more skilled and more fluid than Bruno was. The comparison never made sense to me, apart from them being muscular dudes from the UK.

I can see the same, basic style. But you're right about AJ being more skilled and fluid.

I know but he tried and he went 7 rnds I do not think that Joshua could go or even try to go distance against Lewis like Bruno did.

Bruno gave Lennox a good fight during those 7 rounds. At one point I was wondering if he might win. But that was also Lewis right before he got sparked by McCall and before eve got manny stewed training him. Frank would be a contender in most eras but the best in none

He’d give it his all, always show up in shape - when the best rest he’d catch one or two.

That's an odd way of saying "I was wrong. Bruno never went 12 rounds with Lewis like I claimed"
