Bruno was a very good heavyweight with flaws that prevented him from being great. He was big, he could box, and he could punch. He was also mentally weak, a little chinny, and lacked stamina late in fights. Bruno was up on Lewis, and then it happened. Lennox landed his own lottery punch in retreat. Bruno also visibly rocked Tyson pre-Douglas. Tyson was hurt, but Bruno lacked the confidence to take advantage of the moment.
Tyson didn't think he was much of a threat in the first fight, but felt that if Bruno wasn't quaking in his boots in the second fight and actually fought him, he probably would have won!
Frank was proof that the difference between success and failure at the highest point comes down to what is between the ears . Had most of the tools needed...just couldnt apply them all together. Pro boxing is a cruel game ...you need many attributes...it only takes one or two of them to be slightly amiss and you lose.
