Lewis wasn't all that green by that point and Mason only got stopped due to his eye. He did everything Bruno did but had better stamina .
Whilst Lewis was a scary, raw talent in those formative pro years (he'd been a pro less than two years by the time he met Mason), it would be fair to say, at 14-0, he was still a novice with a lot of questions to answer. Mason had been a pro for more than 6 years with more than double the bouts under his belt. By the way, a brave Mason was brutalized by Lewis. He ate a lot of pain as he went out on his shield, but was never in it. Lewis made it look easy. Bruno gave a much better account of himself against Lewis.
Co ckell wasn't a Big enough hitter for HW, though he was durable and a fine Boxer, most true Top HWs beat Coc kell, whom at L-HW, if he didn't have the glandular problem causing water retention and weight, he may have grabbed a World Title.
