So Our Frank has said in a interview that Tyson Fury, if he had being fighting in his day, would have been 'Eaten for dinner'.
    That's one big dinner!!
But yes I see Frank's point, the guys around back then were a different lot from now.

    Anyone disagree with Mr Bruno?

Pretty much everyone in that era got eaten for dinner at least once. One or two of them quite literally. I'm a little surprised Frank said that though, honestly. Frankly.

As I learned from a hot, tribal, cannibal chick once: It's never going to be the way you want it.

I remember describing Fury here once, after he gradually wore down and stopped Wilder, I don't remember which fight. I likened him to a big wall of mud.

    I stand by that.

With Tubbs's appetite I can certainly see it. Him and Page could share Fury as a starter.

Joking aside, fighters have been saying things like this as long as we have recorded history of boxing.

With that said, it's 210-220 lbs fighters with speed and skills who have given Fury the most trouble and there were a fair amount of fast and skilled guys in the 80's of that size and bigger.

Inconsistent lot, though. The Tillis and Page that were beaten by a late 30's Bugmer probably wouldn't trouble Fury much. But on their best nights they should be able to do something like a Cunningham.

Read an article where Galento called Floyd Patterson a stiff.

Probably by some in “his era”, which was a pretty strong one….

    ….not Frank though.

For someone with the natural fluidity of Galento I can see how its's hard to be impressed by others. :)

No, I don't see Frank beating him either.

Fury wouldn't have gotten nearly slept by Cummings, nor knocked out late by Smith or Witherspoon (Feel like he'd probably lose that one, though).
