**** off he had a great chin - one of the very very few who could be KTFO yet remain standing :blood.
His chin was always his biggest problem . His freakish strengh was impressive though , i think Arreola stops him in todays heavyweight era .
His chin was fine. I cant recall him going down. What he didnt go was cover up when in trouble. Even Lewis and Tyson landing bombs on him never actually dropped or sparked him Bruno was a beast - no way Arreola beats him
Bruno was def a beast but a beast also gassed in a lot of his fights . Arreola pressure , relentless attack , punching power could break him down . Arreolas toughness alone would be a huge problem for Bruno in this fight .
Who has Arreola beaten who was half as good as prime Bruno. Stiverne isn't the most mobile or skilled boxer but he boxed rings round Arreola. Hell Arreola got beat by a cruiser weight for christ sake. Bruno is a level above Arreola who was an american hype job of if the highest order, his resume is only slightly better than Wilder's who has fought nobody. Arreola is simply too easy to hit and would struggle to get by Bruno's jab. Arreola would be lucky to make it beyond the 6th round hell it's likely he'd get KO'ed inside 3 rounds. Whenever prime Bruno stepped up he gave a good account of himself against top heavies like Witherspoon, Tyson and Lewis. When Arreola stepped up he was horribly out classed by Vitali and left the ring in tears. Hell past prime Bruno beat McCall who would also easily beat Arreola.
i have seen nothing from Arreola that makes me think he would beat Frank... I still think Frank is a bit overrated by pundits... his biggest win was for the heavyweight championship of the world ... outside of that I cant really remember when he was matched with another contender where both men were considered dangerous fighter and that Bruno came away with a win.... almost like Ruddock.. who when he fought his biggest fights with Tyson and Lewis... walked away with losses on his record.... those fighters who are really good... find a way to win when they are presented with a challenge.. thinking moreso on Lewis than Tyson with the last comment... Hope Frank finds peace in his life and doesnt worry about his career anymore.... he was the champ of the world and no one on these message boards can say jack **** about that...
Of course arreola has not beaten any fighters who are like Frank Bruno . Todays heavyweight division is TERRIBLE . He has the style to beat Bruno though . Bruno will most likely always lose in a DOG FIGHT with another fighter who can physically challenge him . Thats exactly the kind of fight Arreola will bring to him . Hes also been knockout by poor opposition before , His chin just did not absorb well .
I think Frank would be a decent fighter in any era, who would give anyone a fight, but ultimately lose to the best. He would have a puncher's chance versus Haye, but would likely find trouble against him if he didn't win early. I think the K's would be too much for Frank.
I wonder how he would do in this current golden era of British HW's? Price, Haye, Fury, Chisora, Skelton and Audley. I reckon he can win maybe half of those fights.
Don't know about that , Bruno was loved in his time. Also a good hw in a fantastic era. Would beat most out there today and give the kilts a run for their money.
