After seeing how my Hagler thread has gone i am interested to hear posters views on this fight? 2 eras not that far apart .... I shall keep my thoughts to myself for now
I think Whyte`s catch and counter style would be too much for Frank, Whyte has a longer reach than most of the fighters Frank met and he`s far better than anyone Frank beat, Whyte proved his toughness in a war against Chisora, Bruno never did, he was more fragile than Whyte and would have ben stopped by the hook that rocked AJ and the hook that put Chisora away, Frank never knocked out a fight as good as Chisora is.
Bruno boxes Whyte’s head off and stops him. Bruno is actually taller/bigger btw. This would be a brutal one sided beat down.
You need to watch a different sport of you honestly think Whyte lasts more than two rounds with a prime Lewis and Tyson you are seriously deluded, I'm sick to death with the hype surrounding Whyte he had beat NOBODY!!!!!!
Bruno stops Whyte comfortably inside 6. When Frank was ‘on it’ & focused he was very good. His jab was probably his main asset along with his power. Whyte is very overrated in my opinion, in what is a poor HW division right now.
Bruno was almost considered a joke in his prime because of the company he was fighting ....Whyte would have been a Bruno victim at British level imo
Bruno's jab was better than Lennox for much of their fight .... Plus he was always in top shape unlike some others
Bruno within 4 rounds for me. Whyte's shape in his last fight would have seen him finished in one or two.
Neither man was in their prime v Bruno, they were both completely out of sorts when they fought him, Tyson had sacked Rooney and was getting into streetfights and going through a messy divorce and by the 90`s he reall lost his way despite dominating Bruno in their rematch and I feel Whyte could have beaten Lewis pre Steward, he was a really sloppy fighter at that point.
