Bruno fought better fighters but did not win a lot - I think Haye could beat him, espically if he got Frank out of his comfort zone. Course Bruno would just have to hold back for 5 rounds and then KO Haye when he gassed ...
i dont think a lot of people on here have seen many bruno fights saying he would ko haye. he was ok against european level heavyweights and bugner lol but as soon as he stepped up against world level he got sparked out. haye would stop bruno somewhere around the 6th round.
Both Valuev and Ruiz were WORLD Champions, ranked inside the Top Ten Heavyweights in the WORLD - of course they are WORLD class. What you're saying is that Haye hasn't fought an ELITE HW, of which there are only 2. Yeah, Haye hasn't fought a Klitschko, but I'm not sure exactly what bearing that has on his ability to defeat Bruno....
:huh Haye's been fighting even worse opponents than Bruno was fed. Bruno wasn't much good, a manufactured fighter with a padded record, but he'd probably KO Haye very quickly indeed. Knock him out cold. Haye is the biggest load of hype to come out of this country in a long time. His achievements at heavyweight are about the same as Herbie Hide's, if that. Why do rate him highly ?
I always thought that Bruno couldn't deal with non-conventional speed allied with raw power - Witherspoon, Tyson, Lewis, you name it - Haye would rock him 2 and probably would finish him Jean Marc Mormeck style. Bruno always was a very muscular, tight and ultra-orthodox euro fighter, good HW boxer with big weight in punches but that's all.
Against everyone except Tyson Bruno was dominant for the majority of the fights he lost! Time Witherspoon needed a late rally and a KO to win the fight as did Bonecrusher Smith and Lennox. Bruno was the very first opponent to shake Tyson when he was at his almost invincible best, after Pinklon Thomas, Michael Spinks,Tyrell Biggs, Tony Tucker, Trevor Berbick and just about every other US based fighter of note had crumpled without ever taxing Tyson for a milisecond. I'm not overestimating Bruno's power which was always respected by all and sundry, some only after they'd eaten that left jab once or twice. It was often funny to watch a trash talking opponent suddenly realise he was massively outgunned in the power stakes after just a few seconds of the first round.
Haye would fight on the backfoot that much is clear, i think he rocks Bruno in around the 2nd round before finishing him on the ropes.
True. If Hide had run his mouth a bit more in his prime, and not signed to fight Bowe and Klitschko, he'd be as "great" as David Haye.
At least he did face world class fighters and made them work for beating him. Haye has faced four HW's, all above 35, clearly past their prime, none of them considered the best in the world during their prime. Haye is simply unproven at HW. Bruno is proven to be a worthy contender agains the best, more than what can be said about Haye.
