None of this has any bearing on the fact that prime Holyfield would batter prime Bruno to a helpless wreck.

But unlike Tony Tubbs trainer, gerrie coetzee's trainer was not so embarrassed about his condition that he walked out on him before the bruno fight -and state to the press- that gerrie was in no shape to fight!

Oh yes, Holyfeild wins. I always said that. I just think Frank has a punchers chance and would give Holyfeild a real tough time...before losing. Could be points. Could be late stoppage. In three fights Bruno might even win once. Unlikely..but could.

Dude, Gerrie Coetzee fought Bruno at a career high 233 lbs, which was only 5 lbs less than what Tubbs weighed against Tyson. Tubbs rarely showed up less than about 229, where as Coetzee's best weight fluctuated anywhere from about 217-222. By definition Gerrie was about 11-15 lbs over his best weight range, where as Tubbs was only around 8-10 lbs over his.. In addition, if the two men were to trade places, would you say that Coetzee would be more qualified to fight Tyson with only 1 victory in a near three year period over a gate keeper and a TKO loss to Greg Page? Tubbs BEAT Page, narrowly lost to Witherspoon ( his only defeat ) and chalked up three stay busy fights against men who were similarly on Tillis's level within 11 months going into the Tyson fight.. This says nothing of Coetzee's lost abilities due to surgery or his resolve to retire from boxing, while Tubbs continued on for more than a decade after Tyson...

the opponents who tubbs stayed busy with were not on the level of A James Tillis at all. Neither of that fodder could have lasted the distance with the 19 year old Tyson like Tillis did. In back to back fights quick Tillis pushed Coetzee, Unbeaten Olympian Tyrell Biggs and Tyson in tough full distance fights. Each winner had a tough nights work. Tillis was still good then.
Are you trying to tell me a full distance fight with a 1987 version of 14-12 Mike jameson who went 2 rounds with Bruno back in 1983 and was recently outpointed by a 5-3 novis called Sylvester Lee (who never amounted to anything) was as good as outpointing a gatekeeper like quick Tillis!

"Why a young athlete with a $50.000 incentive, fighting for the richest prize in sports, cannot get himself in reasonable shape is beyond comprehension. As he disrobed in his corner, I noted the jiggling blubber around his waistline. I could hear Tubbs wheeze with exhaustion when thirty seconds from the end of round two Tyson finished the fight with a signature uppercut. as tubbs reeled, Tyson landed a grazing left hook but it was enough to put his already wobbly opponent down." -Arthur Mercante who refereed Tyson v Tubbs.

I see the beginning very similar to the Oliver McCall fight, but with Holyfield turning it round earlier than McCall did it, and getting the job finished around the 10th.
I definitely would give Frank a chance here, don't forget he was handling Lewis and Witherspoon pretty emphatically before getting chinned. Both of them bigger punchers than Holyfield. Tyson was just all wrong for Frank.

I think Holyfield TKO 10 an exhausted Frank but I do give him a chance.

Lord Bruno sacrificed his own career, his own flesh and blood for the benefit of others.

Forgive me father for they do not know....

Actually Bruno holds a distinction, along with Tyson and Lewis and that is they have a 100% track record on the scorecards.

Yeah, I think Bruno went the distance twice in his entire career. Winning a 10-round stinkeroo against Phil Brown, and the GLORIOUS 12-round decision over slick Oliver McCall for the WBC.

Can Tyson say that? Can Lewis?
