Big George by KO. Too much chin and power. I think Frank might tag Foreman early a few times but would become discouraged when he realizes that George isn't going anywhere. Despite Bruno's impressive physique, Foreman is stronger and Frank would find that out soon enough as well. I see George ending it somewhere around the 7th.

Well, either Morrison didn't have a lot of power on the backfoot or Lennox Lewis had a very good chin. I'm happy with either, to be honest.

Would you agree that Bruno might do quite well on the inside? He did outhustle Terrible Tim on the inside and he was an overall better boxer by 1991 than in 1986.

Foreman let his opponents dictate the pace of the match in his comeback though, didn't he?

Foreman actually did quite a bit of lateral movement in the late 1980s/early 1980s. Certainly more than Bruno, who was the object of the comparison.

Sometimes, but I think it depended on their style. Probably his most impressive fight was against Savarese, and Foreman set a horrid pace for Lou and he couldnt keep up. Foreman couldnt set a pace against a quicker fighter, he was way too slow. Bruno would win the fight until the later rounds. Ive never seen a fighter run out of gas worse than him besides maybe Tommy Morrison or Shannon Briggs. Against Foreman you saw those guys miraculously turn into boxers and move a lot in the later rounds. I dont think Bruno would be capable of that, but I think he would win the first 3/4 of the fight before getting stopped late.

Bruno wins this. If you say Morrison had the power to match Bruno so George could take it, then you have to also say Brunos chin matched Morrisons and he could take what Big George could dish out. Bruno would mess up Georges face with Jabs and rights, same as Alex Stewart did. Bruno whilst having obvious weaknesses, also had some strengths. He hurt every fighter he fought including Tyson and Lewis. This is a fight where Big George would be the weaker man. How would he react to that stamina wise.

Yeah but Bruno didnt have the movement that Morrison did, especially in the later rounds, that was my biggest point in saying Bruno would most likely be well ahead before getting stopped late.

Your comment about Morrison is interesting. Would you say that Tommy had worse stamina than Bruno?

A perfect fight for the Bomber, he would dictate the pace on his terms ala Bugner. Foreman would lack the ability to put the pressure on Frank that led to Bruno's stamina issues.

On top of this, Bruno's chin would stand up to the odd one punch bomb, Foreman would get though.

Styles make fights; in 1991 this is arguably a shut out Bomber Bruno Victory.

They were both horrible in the later rounds. Morrison went from straight ahead slugger to huffing and puffing boxer. Bruno went to confused holder.

It's possible, yes. That would depend on the pace of the fight and how he decides to fight.

Bruno was just coming back after somewhat of a layoff in 1991, while Foreman was fairly active and had established himself as one of the best heavys of the period. Therefore, I think George would need to be the favorite.

Foreman was regularly destroying quality journeyman, fringe contenders, trial hoarses and even went a very competitive 12 rounds against a peak Holyfield. A prime Bruno who was more active would have given a 40+ Foreman fits, but I'm still inclined to picking George by a stoppage. His defense, power, ability to pace himself and good chin combined with Bruno's stamina problems and reluctance would always be a factor.

Morrison, Briggs, Holyfield, Alex Stewart, Bert Cooper, Moorer ect ect ect were big punchers. Foreman could take a punch Bruno could not. Bruno loses
