I probably have too much time on my hands or something...But I was watching Lennox vs Frank last night and got this picture in my mind of Bruno and Norton getting it on.

How do you rate the 2, who do you have higher and why? And what would happen if these 2 met in their primes?

Bruno would stand a chance,if he lands a big one on Ken early on. He never did that with the class guys, though. I can see Norton backing Bruno up with his jab,and landing roundhouse rights, taking him out around the ninth.

Norton is the better fighter when sized up to the rest of the field, but his tendency to fall short against big punchers and one's who are physically imposing could present a problem. If Ken could use his heart, skills, and conditioning to survive into the later rounds, then I could possibly see a scenario where Bruno gasses, and Ken stops him late. On the otherhand, its not out of the question for big Frank to unload on him early and for Norton's chin to fail him in the heat of an exchange.

    Tough one to call.

Also, I do not see a prime Norton being stopped. Bruno had power, but then so did Norton. Norton was passed it when Shavers blasted him out. If Bruno fought that Norton then there is a chance he would take him out, but not a peak Norton.

Norton would be too tough, too willing to go into the trenches for Bruno's liking, as displayed against Holmes. What a fight!

Norton was very underrated imo. To this day, Holmes maintains Kenny gave him his hardest, toughest fight!

Frank Bruno is without a doubt, one of the worst heavyweight champions ever who got knocked out by any decent fighter he fought. Why people make a big issue about his punch power is beyond me. Hes a big, fit, strong,18stone boxer- hes entitled to have a bit of a dig. He never knocked down, nevermind out, a decent fighter in his entire career (coetzee was there for beer money). Ken Norton to blow him away in 4 if bruno tries to fight. If he holds like tyson2 then Norton to stop/ko him in 8.

His old trainer died this morning, terry lawless. R.I.P.

Well If Bruno had the Blueprint down he comes out fast and backs Ken up AND BANGS like he did vs Tyson he wins. If he fight the jab and run fight he fought against Bonescrusher or Witherspoon, then Norton roundhouses his STiff ass into Oblivion

I think norton either gets blasted out early by bruno or he takes bruno in the deep water where bruno had stamina problems I think Norton would take a ud but Bruno could punch, and that seems to be Norton's kryptonite.
I wouldn't be betting on this one at all.

I will take Norton on Points he is just the better fighter, Bruno has the punchers chance but I see Kenny hurting him enough to earn his respect and then beating him over the distance.

The fight boils down to which guy backs up. I'd lean towards Norton and his oddball jab to get the win. He had a very effective jab in there and I don't think the Bruno defense is going to solve it. If that jab pushes him backwards I sure don't see that Bruno chin absorbing all those looping right hands Norton threw. But he'd go out on his shield and it'd be an entertaining fight to watch while it lasted.
