Frank Bruno vs. Nicolai Valuev

Another vote for Frank. Stoppage. I think Francis would have him prepared/focused at 100% because this guy is right there for him to hit and he really does not have to worry about a lot in return. His connect % will be off the charts and all Valuev is going to do is plod in & throw a 1-2 and hold. So predicatable and hardly a guy providing angles or being quick on his feet. Or quick hands or snap or the things that would bother Bruno. More like a massive target that just won't see Frank hitting air with his shots.

That's the other thing I like w/ Frank in this matchup is the fact he did throw a ton of combos. He did not have to wait to get back to his corner to be scolded about it, he threw them. Man, not a whole lot of champs I like Bruno over, but this would be one of them.

 

yes frank has very good solid fundamentals and power, but remember valuev is a huge guy with a granite chin, and also bruno wasnt that fast. haye barely threw more than 5punches a round to get a decision over nicolai, stoppage would shock me.

 

Granite chn? List all the big hitters he faced. Or all the big shots he walked through. There sure were lots of punchers he could have fought during his career. Funny thing is, they we never the guys on his opponent selcetion list

 

Big slow and easy to hit.This fight is bread and butter for.frank.anyone Bruno can hit early is in trouble.

Bruno in this one by unanimous Dec but I feel he would be tired at the end. Won mainly by Frank's jab.

 

Bruno would probably stop him mid rounds, damn this would be like two snails fighting, but Valuev is more slow and doesn't use his height and reach like how you'd expect and is very hittable and wasn't really a big puncher either, Bruno would just force the action a bit and get in range to land the power punches, literally as simple as that, it shouldn't be but it would because of Valuev's lack of movement
