Frank Bruno vs Oliver McCall - Best night in British boxing??

fantastic night, great atmosphere, the whole theatre and staging of the event was well thought out, Bruno was a much better heavyweight than given credit for,no disgrace to be beaten by Witherspoon and Smith, those guys would wipe the floor with the current heavyweights. Dont forget McCall sparked Lewis big time, cant really count Lewis' rematch as fair with Oliver being an emotional wreck, bit like George Foreman sparking Ali now on his zimmer frame!

 

I thought Pedroza was a Panamanian :huh

Watched it on Saturday morning and thought they saved just about the best one liner until last...absolute classic

 

Pedroza was from Panama...:yep I never said he wasn't...:think

They could have got Azumah Nelson for half the money they paid Pedroza...You don't need the brains of an archbishop to suss why they stuck with Pedroza...:yep Although I love the McGuigan v Juan La Porte fight...:good

Especially the 9th where Barry eat that right straight down the pipe...:deal

Haven't seen it yet mate. I keep watching little snippets from each episode however I missed the first couple so i'm waiting for the DVD and i'm gonna steam through the lot. I knew though as soon as I saw the comment about the Quatro where it came from though :good

 

Its a good series, much darker than the others but it had a satisfactory ending :thumbsup

 

Give it another round and he does, but Big Frank paced right himself this night (unlike against Witherspoon and Lewis) and got enough early rounds in the bank to deserve the win.

Best night of Bruno's career no doubt.
