Not sure of the outcome.......cautiously boxing at range is Wlad's bread-and-butter, plays right into Frank's way of fighting (at his best) plus Frank could really mix it....uh...for about 2-3 rounds before gassing...but would this be enough to finish Wlad? Could be. 2 of the most static-footed, robotic power-houses ever to grace the HW division.
Styles make fights I guess so I give the greater technician (Wlad) the best of this one. I will say too though that if Wlad fights the Tyson of the '89 Bruno fight, he get wiped 1st -2nd round......

Watch Klitschko with your eyes. So you can see what he does. Static footed. Good lord. One of the least static footed fighters his size I've ever seen.

Many men were knocking his head back as Lewis was a flaming gay at the time of the Bruno fight. It wasn't until he started banging women that his boxing ability improved ten fold. This was the first change Steward implemented in his training camp.

    In all seriousness...

I have no idea what the hell Lennox Lewis is doing in this fight. No **** Bruno is out jabbing him, that's because Lewis isn't even throwing jabs outside of the occasional flick. Lennox is just kind of walking around with a shitty guard trying to catch Bruno's punches, not throwing much of anything, waiting for one right hand as Foreman correctly observes. It's no wanders Lewis is just one fight away from getting knocked out. Funny, Lewis would fight this way against Rahman many years later.

Its been years since I've viewed this, but you're right. And he didn't look pretty in the Mercer fight either. When the guy had his head up his ass, lesser men made him look bad. When his game was on though, those guys didn't stand a chance.

    Noob.

The reason why Mercer and Bruno gave him fits was they both deployed a good jab....had nothing to do with his head up his ass, he always would /will have problems with a tall jabber, he would have followed Holmes or Ali around for fifteen trying to land the right while loosing almost every single round and never been able to land it flush.

If Bruno would have not gassed he would have lost, except Holmes/Ali don't gas, so no right hand and decsion loss.

While I make WK the favorite, Bruno is a life under dog.

BTW, in his last 10 fights or so WK hardly stopped any quality, as a matter of fact, bums went the distance.

You would have to make Frank the favorite over WK's last ten opponents, and please, the fat protected Russian would not give him much problems and track runner Haye would **** in his pants .

Nobody ever beat a "prime" Bruno.

Bruno was poisoned against Witherspoon and Smith.
He was winning the fights against Tyson and Lewis until he gassed.

Shame Bruno didnt have a brother to help him out.

The problem is Bruno never beat anybody either. You would think after such a long career, McCall was the only live top 10 fighter he managed to beat. After McCall the drop off in quality victories is pretty steep, a feeding frenzy of washed up and feezing fringe contenders.

Of Wlad's last 10 I would favor Povetkin, Chageav, Chambers, Haye, and Thompson over Bruno.

Declining Rahman and Peter, Mormeck, Wach, and Pianeta are right up his alley though. Your standard safe Bruno opponents served warm in England.

Prime Bruno was ducked and avoided by just about everyone through the 80s and 90s, that explains the lack of quality wins by Lord Bruno.

it was only when he started showing signs of slowing and stiffness that guys like Tyson picked him :bart
