I'm dating myself here, but believe it or not, I saw Iron Maiden live in concert back in 1988 for their Seventh son of a Seventh son tour. They were touring with Megadeth if you remember them.

Holy **** those were the days, and how long gone they are...

Not so. Brewster was a fearless puncher with a good chin.

Yeah, I saw them in Chicago Illinois, close to where I lived, and still do. I'm not surprised that you saw that tour at all. That was a very hot gig, and frankly, I'm still surprised after alll these years that I was able to get tickets.

But he was actually mediocre, he showed it in fights like against Meehan, which one he should have lost by 2 or 3 points, or against Krasniqi, where he was outpointed until the 9th round, etc...

Brewster had the right set of skills to over come and win. I don't think Bruno had the stamina, frame of mind, or durability to defeat Wlad the way Brewster did.

Mhmm, hard to say. IMO Bruno had at least as much power (one-punch-wise surely a harder hitter than Lamon, but not as good as a finisher), and compared with his size/ weight, and his jab he would be a very dangerous fight for Wladimir...

Brewster is not even mediocre, he's one of the worst top ten heavyweights i've ever seen.

Apart from beating a declining McCall (only just hanging in the 12th), Bruno has never fought and beaten a top 10 heavyweight. Bruno would be taken out by the current version of Wlad and be stopped around the late rounds, 10th or 11th.

Brewster has plenty of power, good heart, good chin, and and good hand speed. I don't think he was a bad top ten contender at all. In fact, he had the right type if stuff to upset a lot of guys.

I think you're selling Brewster short by calling his chin "good". It was excellent, at least a 9.
Remember that Brewster has very little defense, he took punches from everyone yet was only down twice in his career, by Wlad, who is a massive puncher, and after a lot of punches.

I think this matchup is pretty much a toss-up. Wlad and Bruno both have weak chins. Bruno often froze when hit with a big punch, Wlad goes down, though he has got up to win several times. The only time Bruno recovered was against Cummings when it was the end of the round.

Bruno and Wlad are pretty similar: both huge guys with great jabs, hard to outbox and massive power, but lacking in the durability department.

If Frank lands cleanly then its goodnight Wlad. Wlad is however slightly more mobile than Frank and that would allow him to run for 5 or 6 rounds until Frank ran out of steam. So Wlad wins in seventh when Frank's legs go.

Reached deeeppp down. Bruno is exactly the kind of fighter who troubled Wlad, a huge, powerful man with a huge powerful punch, and the of reach to keep Wlad from using jab and grab.

Wladimir would slowly wear Bruno down and stop him in 7th.

Wlad is too quick and skilled for Bruno. Can you really see Bruno out boxing Wlad? I sure can't.

Bruno doesn't have the stamina or durability to push Wlad out of his comfort zone either. And if he did? What are Bruno's chances of winning a shoot out with a bigger faster more accurate puncher?
