pisses me off when trainers and coaches come on here and say our opinion counts for nothing as we haven't boxed as pros. at the end of the day your better off reading my negative comments than 50 about how great you look.

hope you prove me wrong. i know you have a family but would like to see you, tony bellew and the other boys in arnies gym head out to the states for a few months.

the reason being rob the american coaches can't teach them anything we can't,granted sparring would be better but all weve got to do is pay for the sparring to come to us.by the way your opinion does count for nothing! a boxer+coach bond and opinions is what counts.

I thought Khan was 5 ft 10? He also has freakishly long arms?

Any word on the opponent yet Frankie? Is it likely to be Nigel Wright?

Yeah, course it is, and it's great for fans to debate with other fans.

But that doesn't mean that cus some people on a forum think Frankie should go to America, that Arnie ahould come on and listen.

At the end of the day the decision will be made between Arnie and Frankie (or Billy and Ricky Burns). What is said on here will never enter their thinking.

So in effect, it counts for nothing.

Well i could say that a coaches opinion always counts for nothing as they have an agenda. Billy is currently working closely with Arnie and there gym so its in his intrests to not say anything negative.

I guess it wont enter there thinking but theres every ex-pro thats been to the states has been.

A coach's opinion has a direct influence on a boxers career path.

    So it counts for loads.

theres a massive difference between paid sparring and sparring other fighters looking to impress or have fights on the way.

history shows us going to the states will only benefit a fighter.

Yes I agree, but that's not what Billy was alluding to.

He was saying that a fans opinion means nothing to a boxers progression path. Which is 100% spot on IMO.

Major decisions should be made by the boxer/coach/management team with no outside influences.

It's daft to suggest anything else.

Imagine the next time Franke, Arnie and Frank Warren were discussing a major decision and one of them piped up ''Well Rob Palmer on the internet thinks we should go to America''.

They'd be laughed out of there.

Unfortunately our opinions mean nothing in the grand scheme of things.

fans opinion does mean something if the fighter wants to be financially successful.

just because we dont hold up a mitt and kiss fighters ass every 30 seconds doesn't mean we dont know anything.

That's why I said progression path and not finances.
