I wouldnt travel for it mate, but I do have one suggestion (rather than question).

On Sky shows (and sky sports news etc), rather than have the same old tired punditry prior to and between fights, can we have more interviews with boxers? I've suggested this elsewhere on the forum, but a quick Q&A session with every boxer on the card. Give them a bit of a character. It gets the casual fan a bit more bought into the cards they are watching. So rather than chatting about boxing, things like where they're from, what footy team they support, unusual jobs/hobbies etc.

It means that they become someone (a binman, a maths graduate, a west ham fan) that casual fans can associate with. And it means that casual fans will, hopefully, tune back in to see them box in the future. Joe Bloggs likes to follow a personality, not just watch any boxing that is on TV (like we do). So if it raises the profile of the sport, by making each individual boxer more accessable then surely that's a good thing for Sky, the promoters and of course the boxers.

I've also got a question regarding ticket prices, but I think I've raised it with you before. Basically, why so expensive? Make ticket prices for local shows about £15 and it would pack the place out. I'm guessing that the money men cant make this work for the costs involved, but I honestly think you'd get more casual fans attending shows if they were (1) better publicised and (2) cheaper tickets. Again, the more people that attend a fight, the more will tune in next time round.

Excellent post and I agree wholeheartedly. Boxing more than any other Sport is about the personality of the fighter as much as it is about their ability (to the casual fan anyway) when it comes to their ability to draw. So why not do a bit more before the Boxing starts with the headlining fighters.

It would also be good if Sky put a bit more effort into foreign opponents. Rather then the usual line of "they are tough". Why not mention they beat xyz, show clips of their big fights, do interviews with them etc.
