And you're underrating fedor's submission defense (and skills)... This ****.... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dj5xMeXybs[/ame] Has yet to happen against Emelianenko.
ever since he pulled that lucky simple sub on a green lesnar, hes the greatest bjj practitioner in the world
I honestly think Carwin has a better chance of beating Fedor than Mir. I think Mir will try n play Fedor at his own game and as someone said before he's just a lil bit better at everything than Frank. If Carwin had tagged Fedor with the jab that Rogers did in the 1st round I seriously think Fedor would be in trouble
I hope I won't be flamed for my first post... ! Don't think Mir as a chance VS Fedor, on the ground Fedor is one of the most productive figther in the sport, when he is on the ground he is always working to get an armbar, kimorra or to reverse the guy on top, I think the Brett Rogers fight is the best exemple. Fedor was never in trouble in that fight, even if Roger was trying to land vicous GnP, Fedor was still dominating from the ground. Second the only time Fedor as been stunned by a punch is in 2003 from Kazuyuki Fujita, other then that, he got cut, nose broken, yes, but he never felt a punch. Third, Fedor dominated Big Nog twice in is prime, and IMO Nog is alot better then Mir, especially on the ground. So no, I don't think on paper Mir as any chance of beating Fedor, but since we never know what could happen, Mir could have a lucky shot...but I don't think it will happen ! I wish Fedor would kick UFC poeple ass, would be really fun, Lesnar fan would maybe finally STFU !!
No he does not! Roy Nelson tooled him in grappling dude. who of Mir's submission victims were accomplished grapplers? Not saying he doesn't have good subs, but he hasn't necessarily proved to have some of the "best jits" in mma history.
Rpberto Traven. One is enough to say how skilled he is especially considering he was a Purplebelt tapping a World Champion. Submitting just one Blackbelt is a great accomplishment. The only other 2 accomplished BJJ guys he faced where Nogueira he KOed him so jiujitsu wasnt needed and Pay De Pano which was his first fight back from a broken leg I doubt it would be the same now.
Armbar is an armbar. If it wasnt for his GNP BJ Penn likely would have not submitted Hughes, Stevenson or Florian.
Dont be rediculous. You cant use Mir/Traven as an example of how good a grappler Mir is, when he submitted someone who was nearly out cold. I could submit Traven if he had just nearly been KO'd
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGyLolnRoUw[/ame] Looks pretty alert to me. This isnt like he did a Hendo-Bisping on his ass then armbarred him.
