When people trawl back through this forum in 10 years or so, and stumble across this thread, they'll have to google the name 'Frank Sanchez'
Sanchez is a great technical fighter, and I think he's a better version of Luis Ortiz. He needs to fighter fighters like Hrgovic though rather than Carlos Negron. He has one good win so far over Ajagba, I definitely think Sanchez is a threat to the top fighters if the matchmaking is right. People are underrating Hrgovic slighlty due to his performance against Zhang which was the first time he was in deep waters. Right now though I think Sanchez would win pretty comfortably on points.
you overrate Sanchez massively. I wouldnt put him in the same sentence talent wise as a prime Ortiz. I think hes average at best. Beating Ajagba is not impressive. Hrgovic had just one off night. Judging him overall from his pro/wsb/amateur fights I'd have to make him favourite over Sanchez
From this point on I would say its almost a 50:50 fight but I would slighlty favor Hrgovic over Sanchez.
I picked Sanchez to beat Ajagba but Hrgovic isn't Ajagba. Hrgovic is all about the right hand which is usually a southpaws vulnerability and unlike Zhang Sanchez doesn't have the power to force Hrgovic to be more defensive and I doubt Sanchez has the chin to take the shots Zhang did. Hrgovic breaks him down and stops him late.
Ajagba has more power than Hrgovic and he could not threaten Sanchez, Hrgovic would have to rely on his Jab and defense...
You know, the first thing I thought was "CST80 is going to hate this thread". Why do you diss Frank Sanchez so much?
