Seeing Russell s excellent thread got me a thinking of this match up .Frank Tate who stopped Sibson in a great performance Up against Benn who smashed Barkley ??
What can I type in to find Russell`s thread? Also Benn wasn`t all that at middleweight and got caught against Barkley who looked half asleep, it was a flawed fight, all Benn would have v Tate is a punchers chance, Benn struggled with clever boxers, Barkley and McClellan were made for Benn, do not stand in front of him, if Tate made that mistake he`d still be asleep now if they had of met, but at middle Benn`s defense was all over the place.
I'd go with Tate. Probably a fairly comfortable decision win. Tough fight though & maybe one those bouts where the scorecards are lopsided but every round is contested. Both guys will be digging deep in this one.
Benn and I'm a Tate can .Sometimes he would just sleep walk and it was annoying to watch. I really think had Steward trained him it would have been so much better for Tate .
