    I think Tate squeaks out a points win here but would have to fight cautiously. Thoughts?

    agreed. Barkley decision. Barkley hit hard, but he went the distance with lesser fighters in his prime.

    Tate was a very talented boxer but Barkley was Barkley

    Tate would have just moved and jabbed.
    He would have had a couple of uncomfortable situations but would have won a decision.

    Seems plausible. Barkley was a heck of a puncher, but not the kind that was unbeatable if you boxed him right.

    Well Tinley and Williams almost beat him and Tate had more power then both.
    Also remember Tate was a big puncher by any means but he wasnt featherfisted either.
