Personally, I had it 6-1 for Murray. he was winning by a country mile. :blurp

I can't remember the exact round, but it was probably 3, and I felt that Mitchell's occasional solid shots didn't count over Murray basically controlling the fight in the round.

My issue with your 5-2 score is that you make out that Kevin was somehow in control, and he really wasn't. In the first round Murray, a habitual slow starter, was landing his jab and backing Mitchell up. He took a ****ing pasting and, if Murray hit as hard as Katsidis, that fight would have been over.

This "well-prepared" nonsense just disguises how average Mitchell is.

    cheeky ****

In all fairness, I think i'm the only Mitchell fan on here who doesnt use that 'well prepared' bull****. He was caught my a big shot at the start of the round and never fully recovered.

Anyway, back to Mitchell - Murray. My 5-2 scorecard is somewhat misleading. It was a close fight, and the first 5 were nip and tuck. But going into the 6th, I had it 3-2 in Mitchell's favour (rounds 1, 3 and 4) compared with Murray's round 2 and 5. If you look at it like that, it's pretty close. I think everyone gave Mitchell rounds 6 and 7 before the KO in the 8th. So the argument is only over rounds 3 and 4, which i already admitted were close.

Come on guys , lets not pull this into an english/scotland thing.

This fight could sell well either side, but Burns is the champ and ipersonally fell he should have dibs on this ,Burns has headlined loads of shows recently ,but mitchell only headlined one iirc in the york hall so we dont know if he really is still the draw,im sure others will beg to differ. If this figth was to happen somewere sort of neutral ,give in to Manchester as is kind of in the middle

Kevin has no right to a bigger purse. He's lucky to get a shot after his pathetic capitulation against Katsidis.

i think the number banded around for the upton park fight was about 14,000 that sounds great but Mitchell was going big on the west Ham ticket becoming Kevin "the hammer" mitchell going out at half time during games roping joe cole in to pick up the casual fan who probably ended up feeling mugged of, could they roped in again?
