i love how frank detracts the balme a bit to the Germans etc ,.end of the day chisora and don whatshisface knew what they were doing when they approached haye ,nobody else is to blame other than those two, haye and ****** for not controlling his guy a bit better . If i was the Klits then i would be laughing myself silly at the two clowns aswell
Haye doesnt have any legitimate claims for anything he's retired, unless he's announced he's coming out of retirement? I havent heard anything so Haye can do one as far as im concerned.
Haye was utterly pathetic against Wladimir. That's all there is to it. He was pretty **** against Valuev too, if we are honest ... or about as good as a decrepit old Holyfield. He really doesn't deserve another shot at the title. I mean, he puts on boring shitty performances. He develops boredom rather than interest. I'm just judging him on his fights, they are awful.
I just dont understand how he got that job. There are pleny of journo's that fell into boxing and grew to love the sport andwere excellent writers. There are also plenty of boxing fans who turned into very good journo's He isn't a great writer and never brings anything enlightening to the table and seems to know next to **** all about the sport historically, current events wise or from a technical analysis perspective. Still gets paid to jet off ringside to the best fights in the world and write a bland summary of it.
These are the exact same reasons why he does my head in, he is bad for the sport, any casual fans that may have a slight interest in boxing will read his crap and be put off, he is that bad. He's just come on, this rant is not over, TBC.
Okay, so I see that ESB British forum wants to re-establish the MYTH that Haye will bring excitement to the heavyweight division ! His fights have averaged out as pretty boring, awful stuff. That's the truth. Can't handle the truth ? The guy was utterly pathetic against Wlad. The Audley fight was utterly pathetic, shouldn't have even been made. The Ruiz fight was okay. The Valuev performance was lousy, at best. He fights maybe 1.5 times a year for the last 3-4 years, if you can call it "fighting". Punch output pathetic. Simply not an exciting heavyweight fighter. Unless you get excited about him shooting his mouth off and all that hype. atsch
Conveniently left the Bonin and Barrett fights out then eh? Ruiz fight was quality and if a title winning performance is lousy...
Bonin's a tomato can. It was a mismatch. About 5 years ago too. The Barrett fight was okay, but that's another washed-up journeyman. And that was over 3 years ago. If you have to go back YEARS to find these so-called "exciting" fights, he'd obviously been stinking the place out quite a bit. Valuev-Holyfield was a lousy fight. So was Valuev-Haye. I thought Valuev lost both. It should have been a "title winning performance" for old Holyfield, but it was still a shitty one. Same with Haye. For ****'s sake, anyone who saw that fight knows it was lousy. Of course, we have an injured hand excuse for that one. This is all old news. There's no debate. Haye's heavyweight fights have been major disappointments, he was selling them big on fraudulent promises to deliver. Haye sold some himself in some shitty fights on PPV, and loads of people walked away disappointed. Many of us never bought into his hype in the first place. But even I was shocked at how **** his effort was against Wlad, and the toe excuse. It was pathetic. But it doesn't matter, t's inevitable that he will be built up again as some sort of super fighter. People buy into the image and the bull**** way too easily. It's all hype. It's like wrestling, or some childish ****. the days of expecting proper fights when the bell rings are well over. Fighters get rated purely on how big their mouth is. :-(
