defale would not have gave groves a rematch on that i am sure warren would not have let it, and for fwank i am one of those people you have not seen who agreed exactly with the 115-114 result although a draw would have done no harm for either fighter, but in all fairness well done to groves you should of got him to put his gold medal on the line. I am sure these two will meet again later on down the line which is only good for boxing.
It was close though, i guess frank has put a lot of money into him so he has to do everything he can to help him. To be fair it was so close imo, and because he was a warren fighter, i thought Degale would for sure get a close one
Why would Groves want a rematch? He's beat him twice. Actually, why would DeGale want one - he's lost twice. Move on, James. Don't make the same mistake 3 times.
'How many times do i have to beat this man?' Lol groves has done a number on degale from start to finish
Both guys came off looking classy and the experience was invaluable. That fight is worht 10 bums to each of them. DeGale and Groves haven't hit their peak yet. If they don't rematch now then there is an exciting rematch down the line. Groves can defend twice for the Lonsdale and DeGale can win the European. In a 12-18 months, I would love to see a rematch with the Lonsdale vs Euro champ.
I don't see why there should be a rematch. Groves beat him fair and square and for a second time. Yes, it was close, but Warren is talking absolute ****. The majority of people saw Groves winning or had it so close that they were happy with the decision.
Groves is 100% correct should he beat him for a third time what happens to DeGale? the long and tough road back. if the board force it expect Groves to vacate and go for the EBU title.
Both should move on now. If either wins a world title, the rematch would be big again. Pointless having the rematch next, unless it makes Groves huge money. Both fighters save a little face, it was close, but DeGale was poor and George Groves fought a great fight. I see DeGale going the WBO route now, with the Super Six and Bute holding titles, things are a little crowded. I can see Groves defending a few times, people know who he is. Frank may fast track DeGale to the WBO intercontinental route, Groves may go European. Although Groves won, I still think DeGale gets the WBO shot.
