Groves and Booth want the fight mate.

 

They say they do, do they really? I have my doubts.

 

I'm not getting into a pissing contest over this. Frank didn't explain the purse bids situation properly, thats all I'm saying. Just because the fight goes to bids, that doesn't mean it will definitely go ahead.

After a brief holiday Rob is back on Team Booth. Groves wants to fight Degale and Klitscho is ducking Haye.

Fair enough he turned down the 50k but how much do you think Warren has offerd him now? How much will Warren bid in purse bids to secure the fight on his show? It would headline a Mag 7 PPV card in London. He bid £105k for Macklin vs Barker last year I think this is a bigger fight. Wouldn't be surprised if we see a record for a British title purse bid and that would mean Groves is getting allot more than 50k and Booth and Groves would of been correct in turning the fight down first time round.

BTW Rob, what is the record for a British title purse? :huh Not sure the fight is worth that much at this stage whatever the record is.

 

can you remember a British title fight as high profile as this before its even close to being made? I think the record purse bid is around 150k Froch vs Reid maybe.
