I think people will be more interested when they see that a fight has been announced- when there is an opponenet, a date and a venue.

We have been on the verge of a big annoucement now at least 10 times this year alone.

Quality of the champion is more important than the phrase "Joshua fights champions".

Martin was a **** poor champion and Parker imo was a weak champion aswell, not AJ'S fault mind but Fury is going to be his acid test along with Wilder.

Why do you think both Hearn and AJ want Fury straight away?

    Actually a really good fight.

He could force the tempo for 5/6 rds before Fury got his timing, Arreolad be slowing, them test that power...TKO8

I just want to see Fury back in the ring against anyone!!! He needs a couple tuneups or so to builder up the hype, but if he is in good shape, he will beat Fury and toy with Wilder.............

Yep, that was the point you knew he was doing everyting to sabotage his own career.
But I guess it will be a promptional announcement in this case, or maybe even that he actually has a license to box again, that would be a big step forward.

If his comeback announcement is set for today, then surely we can pencil in his retirement announcement for sometime this weekend?

Based on: ever since he fought Wladimir.

    We'll see how it goes.

It's hard not to dismiss this as more bull**** from Team Fury.

However, Tyson truly was banned previously, so we really can't infer much from that the fact that past comebacks failed to come to fruition when he was literally banned.

We need to see how he behaves now that he's no longer banned.

If he was still walking around at 380lbs then yeah I would be doubting this latest of come backs. He was meant to comeback last year too but he was banned as you say and walking around eating and snorting everything in sight. But he looks to be close to fighting weight now and with the ban no longer preventing a return and Joshua being such a huge potential payday it's inevitable that he will return and this is coming from a guy who 3 months ago didn't believe he'd return at all.

He's taken 2 1/2 off but with his lifestyle and walking around at 360 pounds he's set himself back considerably more.

Honestly, if he can come back and beat any genuine champion heavyweight, we'll all have to hail him as a great boxer.
It's not like he's just been taking a break or solving an injury issue or something ... The dude went totally off the athlete grid. Man looked like he was heading for heart attack at 30.
It's a minor success story even that he's got himself down below 300 pounds, which I think he clearly has now.

Cool stuff. It'll be an absolute scrub, of course. Then I assume we see the Briggs fight who is I guess slightly better than a journeyman. Then maybe Price or someone.

Actually, have I gone mental or do Price-Briggs almost sound appealing!?

But they don’t? They’ve said numerous times that Fury should have warm up fights. But I suppose that will mean they’re ducking Fury instead?

The HW division needs him back.

Assuming Joshua and Wilder fight this year....who else is left?

The boxrec(I know, not pefect, but still) is

    1. Joshua
    2.Wilder
    3.Povetkin
    4.Pulev
    5.Ortiz
    6.Whyte
    7.Parker
    8.Miller
    9. Breazeale
    10. Kownacki

Doesn't exactly get the pulse racing
