Can't say I saw Pavlik even remotely hurt myself. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/boxing/article1290039.ece The headline of this article first got my attention. Yet Warren barely touches on a Calzaghe V Pavlik fight.
I Saw Lockett land one clean punch that I thought got his attention, never thought he was hurt. Will rewatch to see.
Pain in his hands from hitting Lockett over and over? Walking up the stairs? Bending into the ring? Hugged to hard by his cornermen during post-fight celebration?
Frank Warren spinning - get the hell outta here! Lockett caught Pavlik a couple of times but only Pavlik can tell us whether he was hurt or not. From my vandatge point he didn't appear to be.
Pure bull****. Lockett landed a few shots, but certainly nothing even close to punches from Zuniga and McKart, let alone Miranda and Taylor! And by the way, those compubox numbers were WACKED as usual!
Lockett did land some tasty shots - notably in the opening round. Pavlik was bound to have felt them but didnt give out any clear sign of being hurt. I honeslty think that if Lockett could have landed more of them like he did in the opening round he could have hurt Pavlik. But once Pavlik found his range Lockett was more concrned about what he was taking than what he was giving out.
Lockett just made a mistake. Simple as that. He had a gameplan and didn't stick to it and it cost him the fight.
I can't remember him being hurt. I think Lockett caught him a couple of times though, Pavlik is really not that hard to hit.
